Designed for learners at every stage of their journey.

Build and operate Arista leaf-spine data center and campus networks. The ACE Data Center and Campus tracks validate hands-on skills in VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, CloudVision, and wired/wireless enterprise deployments.

Design multi-domain Arista solutions spanning data center, campus, WAN routing, and automation. The ACE Expert (Level 7) certification validates the ability to lead architecture design and solve complex cross-domain challenges.

Automate Arista network infrastructure using Python, Ansible, eAPI, and CloudVision. The Automation learning track covers network-as-code, zero-touch provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and API-driven orchestration.

Manage and troubleshoot production Arista environments day-to-day. The Operations sub-tracks within each learning domain validate practical skills in monitoring, configuring, and maintaining Arista EOS and CloudVision systems.

Arista launched the Enhanced Certification Program on June 1, 2025, replacing the legacy ACE Levels 1-7 system. The new program uses four tiers (Associate, Specialist, Professional, Expert) organized into Learning Tracks: Foundations, Data Center, Campus, Automation, and Routing. Legacy exams (L1-L5) were retired on December 31, 2025.
Arista ACE exams are entirely hands-on, lab-based assessments with no multiple-choice questions. The Enhanced program exams are also open-book, allowing candidates to use documentation, design guides, and course materials during the exam -- reflecting how engineers work in real production environments.
Arista certifications are valid for two years. Certifications obtained before June 1, 2024 must be recertified before June 1, 2026. Certifications obtained after June 1, 2024 require recertification every two years from the date of acquisition.
Candidates may pursue any certification level (Associate through Expert) in any order without requiring prior certifications. However, Arista recommends at least 3 years of network engineering experience for higher-level exams, and verification from an official Arista training partner is required to register.
Each learning track (e.g., Data Center, Campus) splits into Operations and Engineering sub-tracks at the Specialist (Level 3) level. Passing either sub-track earns a Specialist credential. When you earn both the Operations and Engineering Specialist certifications within the same track, the Professional (Level 5) credential is automatically awarded.
