Everything you need to know about our ISACA prep materials.
All ISACA certification exams are computer-based and administered at authorized PSI testing centers worldwide or via remote proctoring. Registration is continuous year-round, and candidates can schedule a testing appointment as early as 48 hours after payment.
ISACA uses a scaled scoring system of 200-800 points. A score of 450 or higher is required to pass all ISACA certification exams.
ISACA launched three advanced AI certifications: AAIA (Advanced in AI Audit, requires CISA), AAISM (Advanced in AI Security Management, requires CISM or CISSP), and AAIR (Advanced in AI Risk, requires CRISC). These build on existing credentials to validate AI-specific expertise.
Most ISACA certifications require a minimum of 20 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) hours annually and 120 CPE hours over a 3-year reporting period, along with an annual maintenance fee.
The CSX-P has been replaced by the CCOA (Certified Cybersecurity Operations Analyst), which features a hybrid exam with both multiple-choice and performance-based questions. The ITCA was retired on January 6, 2026, with no direct replacement; CET serves a similar foundational role for emerging technologies.
