HPE completed its acquisition of Juniper Networks in July 2025. As of early 2026, the Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCP) continues operating independently with no major restructuring, rebranding, or retirement of certifications. The program is now branded as 'HPE Juniper Networking' but exam content and certification paths remain unchanged.
Juniper offers four progressive certification levels: Associate (JNCIA) for entry-level professionals, Specialist (JNCIS) for intermediate expertise, Professional (JNCIP) for advanced skills, and Expert (JNCIE) which requires passing rigorous hands-on lab exams lasting 6-8 hours.
All Juniper certifications are valid for three years from the date of passing. To maintain certification, you must recertify by passing the current exam version or a higher-level exam in the same track before the expiration date.
JNCIA-Junos (JN0-105) is the foundational Juniper certification validating knowledge of Junos OS, networking fundamentals, and Juniper device operation. It serves as the prerequisite gateway for most specialist-level certification tracks including Enterprise, SP, Security, and Data Center.
Juniper exam fees are tiered by level: Associate (JNCIA) exams cost $200, Specialist (JNCIS) exams cost $300, Professional (JNCIP) exams cost $400, and Expert (JNCIE) hands-on lab exams cost $1,400. All written exams are delivered through Pearson VUE.
